Asian demigods refer to the various demigod characters that are present in the mythology of South East Asia. they are usually portrayed as heroes and help the other gods and mortals in their fight against evil.

Some demigods are worshiped by the believers while many do not have the same level of importance accorded to them. These beings can either be the offspring of a God and a mortal as is the case in many mythologies while many other attribute the title of demigod to a human manifestation of the god itself.

Although they do possess certain abilities of the gods, they are more human in nature and tend to exist in the human realm rather than the heavenly pantheon. Some of them by virtue of their activities are invited to be part of the gods as well.
