Home  |  Ghosts   |  Asian Ghosts   |  Thai Ghosts

Thai Ghosts are an integral part of the Thai mythology and culture of the region. These ghosts are usually associated with black magic and either experts at the practice or people who have failed miserably at it. The ghosts in the mythology are usually vindictive and are out to harm the humans, animals and livestock.

The physical appearance of these ghosts tend to have a predominant human trait with other elements that differentiate them from other ghosts and humans. Some of the Thai ghosts tend to lead normal lives as humans but assume their true form when triggered by natural elements like nightfall, high tide etc.

Many of these ghosts are popular characters in cartoons, anime and video games today.
