Hittite Gods refer to the many gods who were part of the polytheistic religion and mythology of the Hittite kingdom. There were a lot of cult deities in the Hittites. During the time of the imperial period, there was a push to create a state pantheon based on the various local deities.
The Hittites themselves wrote about the various gods of Hatti, and over 800 of these names have been discovered. Some of these are believed to be Hurrian, while others are Hattic. The Kumarbis-Ullukummis myth is one of the most prominent stories from the Hurrian side.
There are also fragments of a version of the Gilgamesh epic that’s from the Hittites. Many Akkadian deities were also worshipped in this region.
