African hybrids refer to the various creatures that exhibit characteristics of multiple animals or have an andromorphic element to it from the various mythologies of the great continent. They include humanised versions of animals and animals with mixed traits as well.

These hybrids tend to be indigenous to the regions they are from but also have creatures that are present in multiple mythologies from the region albeit under different names. Egyptian mythology is not considered in this mix as it has their own distinct mythology which includes practices that tend to very different from the rest of the continent and the region.
