Mediterranean gods refer to the gods who forms the pantheon in Greek and Roman mythology. According to both mythologies and belief systems, the gods resided at Mount Olympus and were responsible for all the glory and mishaps that happened to the humans on earth. All the gods were related to each other, either as spouses, siblings or children. In some cases more than one of the above would apply.

As both the Greeks and Romans lived their live physically along the Mediterranean sea, all the mythology and cosmology is based in that realm. With the exploration of Greek and Roman sailors, parts of their mythology expanded to North Africa, the islands of Crete and other popular ports as well.
